Outreach

As a team, we plan to outreach to our community through various activities

The Phone-A-Thon
Our first outreach project of the year was something called a Phone-A-Thon. After school one day, our team got together and called many people. We called normal people that are in the Park City School District asking if they would be willing to donate money to the Park City Education Foundation and the Robotics Club. Our team raised about nine hundred dollars. This was a great first outreach experience for our team!

The Park Record
In Park City, we have a city newspaper called The Park Record. The Park Record reports about current events in our city while focusing a lot on the city's students. Our engineering teacher approached us about getting interviewed by The Park Record. We were ecstatic, and after scheduling, the interview went perfect. You can read this inspiring article on The Park Record website

PCTV
After the success of The Park Record interview, PCTV contacted us and asked the other Park City all girls team, the Ladybots, to come on the Morning Show. We were thrilled. Park City TV had asked us to come on as soon as possible to talk about robotics and the promotion of girls in STEM. One Wednesday morning, we went on and had a blast. You can read about it on a post called "We Made It On TV" or watch it on PCTV's Youtube.
